Today, there are people all over our nation who question whether today is really a happy day. Countless families have been struck by devastation lately, and it can cause some of us to question whether it really is a happy thanksgiving, especially when the absence of a loved one or a dream is exacerbated during the holidays. If you have any doubts in your heart, you are not alone. I'd like to encourage you through the questions in your heart, and it's my hope that it supplies you with new strength and joy.
It's the middle of September. Summer's ended and the little vacations are scheduled farther apart now. School has been back in for a few weeks, and the routines are becoming more regular. Spontaneity has slowed down and work can become a serious drain if you let it! Celebrations don't have to be large and time consuming. Your spouse and your children will appreciate it when acknowledge a small success in a special way. Your coworkers may be alarmed that you noticed and cared enough to write a thank you note. Your mentees will light up, and I guarantee you it will make a difference in their day.
We become strong when we exercise, and I don’t know if it can get any more basic than that. In fact, you may be wondering why I chose to waste space to even share that point. I shared it because I want us to remember it’s important and simple. When we exercise, we become stronger. Now, I have a question for you: why do so many of experience weak relationships with our loved ones? Come on, you know what a weak relationship is: one where patience is absent and discipline is distant. One where your interactions are marked by outbursts and your time together is tense.
