Wait for it…

Wait for it…

As you can see, I’ve been thinking a lot about time and how well we wait, lately…I don’t know if it’s inspired by the end of the year or the fact that 2020 came for all of us…every. last. one. Either way, I had to come over here and encourage you on the subject again.

I don’t know if you’re praying for a vision for your future or praying about the time that your God given vision is going to come into existence, but the question I have is what are you doing with the time you have? Let’s take it one step further…How well are you waiting?

Six, almost seven, years ago, I sat around a board room table with the leaders of The Colorfully Candid Paradigm and discussed the prayer we’d just conducted. Jacque immediately said, God is going to bless the non profit through the books. We all nodded solemnly, thinking of the one Colorfully Candid Diary that had been released at that time and nothing more.

Over time, I published two more books in the series and even started a publishing company to release the first nonfictional book I’d write. I kept that thought in the back of my mind so when God spoke to me about the devotional in prayer two years ago, I instantly became excited! A devotional? Yes! It makes so much sense. I presented the vision to the board and instantly got to work.

I will admit that the year 2020 kept coming to my mind, but I figured it was only my own OCD that fueled it. How cool would it be to release our first book in 2020? In spite of the little whisper, “2020,” in the back of my mind, I powered on, releasing the advertisements for the opportunity to write in our first devotional and, even, planning the informational. Unfortunately, a few struggles in my personal life prevented me from moving forward with the project, but I began to think about ways that I could simplify it since the task was so daunting.

I have to ask you, “What are you doing with the time you have?” again. What lessons are you learning that could empower that vision? Who are you aligning yourself with to encourage the vision? What prayers are you praying to inspire the vision?

I can’t tell you how excited I was to get Her Story, His Glory into my hands! After praying that God send us 5 women to write in the devotional, 21 other women joined the project, and, all I can say is that it was blessed. What’s crazy is that some of the authors who joined us and made the book richer, more inspiring, and more enjoyable weren’t even connected to The Colorfully Candid Paradigm in 2019 and I wouldn’t even meet them until 2020. I can’t imagine the devotional without them, and the entire experience helped me to learn how to trust God even more. He’s intentional, ya’ll!

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

Habakkuk 2:3

I do want you to grab it and get the conversations started among your mother daughter relationships and mentorship circles, but as you do, take heart. The time for your vision is coming, too. Wait well. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did! It’s available here.
