So many girls have started to ask me, “What's next? Now that I’ve invited Jesus into my heart, what do I do next?”In this blog, I’ve listed a few steps you can take to help you get into your own secret place with the Lord. Trust me, you're going to love it!
Are we using our family members to excuse our inactivity? Are we using our environment to excuse our lack of productivity? Are we using our limited accessibility to excuse our development? It's time for some motivation and, maybe even, a kick in the butt! We will come out of this stronger!
There are way too many of us living beneath our means, our potential, our permission, and our access. We've allowed our insecurities to identify us and serve as excuses which keep us from moving forward for far too long, and it ends now. Could our obsession with forgiveness be fueling our insecurities and negativity? I'm stepping lightly because forgiveness has given me a reason to live, but lately, God has placed two scriptures on my heart to serve as encouragement, and I want to ask you to do more than just read them with me. Visualize them in action.
I think one of the hardest things about starting a new year is the realization of how much work you have left to accomplish on the goals that continue to linger from the past. It doesn’t make it any easier when you criticize yourself for not having moved beyond it. When the new year strikes, it can feel counterproductive to work on old goals when everyone is so consumed over the newness of the opportunities ahead. It’s times like those that often lead us to question whether we’ll continue to deal with the same distractions, delays, and disappointments in the future, and that is where I come in.
I hope this year has been EVERYTHING for you. I hope your wildest dreams came true. I hope you solidified the partnership, enjoyed the fruitfulness, and excelled to new heights. Buttt, just in case it presented a few questionable moments, areas of concern, days where you wanted to quit at life, I am here to remind you that God is our Rock of Escape. In a world where everyone around us is yelling, "Push harder!" "Do more." "Don't quit!" I am here to ask you to rest. Rest in His will, rest in His love, rest in His plans for your life.
